I’m Lori Wallace — your Mentor & Muse, and the founder of Career Ecology. I created this system to guide you through the most misunderstood rite of modern life: career transition.
Career Ecology is not mere "performance coaching" that scratches the surface and in the end breeds more anxiety. Instead, it unearth's an ancient navigational system that is your birthright. It is the work of the heart-mind, which is the seat of your true intelligence.

Let me share with you why I've dedicated myself to this vital work.
It all started when the Twin Towers fell on September 11th, 2001. I was working as a marketing executive in San Francisco at the time, and was also growing a human in my belly (7 months into my pregnancy).
That morning, as the towers burned, I felt the overwhelming weight of human despair like never before —and my body moved into early labor.
While the miracle of medicine was able to stop the process so I could carry my baby to term, something else birthed in me that day:
The urgent call to go out and practice radical kindness in the world.
I had my calling.
I needed to help heal human suffering by liberating the human heart.
This awakening led me to the practice of recruiting — but not the kind that chases, the kind that connects.
In 2005, I founded igMedical to transform headhunting into human connection.
And then later, when the world fractured again — through the pandemic, culture chaos, and climate change — another truth revealed itself to me:
People don’t just need jobs.
People need a way back to meaning.
And so Career Ecology was born.
A place where people reclaim their power.
A space where career change is the gateway to wholeness.
This is your rite of passage.
I've been preparing for this my whole life.
I hold a degree in Psychology from UCLA, certifications in the Nurtured Heart Approach and Wild Soul Facilitation, and two decades of experience guiding professionals, seekers, and soul-driven humans through the unknown terrain of career change.
But what I bring you most is this:
I’ve lived the ache.
I’ve endured the trauma.
I’ve found my way back — by way of the brave heart.
And now, I walk here with you.
