Scripps Health is seeking a Clinical Resource Specialist RN - Surgery for their Corporate office in La Jolla.

The Clinical Resource Specialist (CRS) is responsible for providing subject matter expertise to conduct and evaluate evidence based clinical review to implement system wide value through the clinical supply chain and execute utilization improvements. Working collaboratively with physicians, clinical services teams, pharmacy, finance and supply analytics teams, the CRS will identify supply utilization improvements, supply waste and misalignments to improve cost effective clinical care.

The CRS serves as the programmatic and operational coordinator for performance improvement and value analysis processes within the Scripps Enterprise, with the goal of providing high quality, efficient, cost effective and aligned services.

The CRS actively engages physicians and other clinicians in reducing unwanted variation related to clinical practice, products, devices, services and supplies. The CRS drives change using clinical evidence, best practice research and strategic expertise to facilitate supply, device, and equipment standardization.

Additionally, the CRS will work with Scripps executive leadership team to effectively coordinate change management systems that results in the establishment of and adherence to a streamlined method for reducing variation of product/service selection, utilization, quality and costs. Continuously improving processes that support quality patient care, growth and funding our future.

Furthermore, the CRS will work strategically with the clinically integrated supply chain team members, site logistics, procurement, accounts payable, supply chain analytics and others to identify, analyze, determine, and implement best practices and expense management initiatives.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position located at our Corporate Office in La Jolla.
